Stick online before it and its fine though
Seriously, who are you and what did you do with Tom? Of course people can have 'mates' on the forum. And of course they are different from your real world 'mates'. Now on behalf of all of us, grow up a bit and recognise the place for what it is, a place where you can have a wee bit of chat.

Mates, online mates, real mates, really who gives a ****?
Eh?

And anyway I don't use the word 'mates' loosely so I wouldn't stretch it to anyone I've met off a website. Clique doesn't translate into mates, not for me anyway

Good for you. It would have helped if you had just said that the first time, instead of making patronising comments about people on forums who have no mates on the outside world.

I didn't explicitly say that, thats your own little spin on what I said which you're good at. Did I touch a raw nerve?

So what were you saying then? Because it looks like you were taking a dig at people with no mates on the outside world, which is awfully low. At least, that is what I can deduct from the below quote. Of course, im sure theirs some hidden subtext about peace, love and brotherhood, but im not a mind reader are my? What did you expect me to make of the comment?

I think its fine to say like, oh yeh Tom's my mate. When its obvious that I don't mean it as an actual mate like in the real world but infact a mate in the small world on this forum or whatever.

Yeah, some people take some words used way out of context
Its obvious people dont mean real life mate (unless they are actually your mate who has joined TiBB )
