What's wrong with saying that? It's the truth. Not many people would have experience in how to teach blind people physical movements. It's nothing bad unless they're ignorant about it.

But the way he stuttered a lot and said "you know" at the end implied that there was something so wrong with being blind that he didn't even want to say it out loud. Why couldn't he just say "blind?"

Yes, he should have said 'I'm a bit bigotted, and I can't really imagine whether or not blind people understand the phrase 'over here' or 'watch Nicole'.
