We spoke with the Slick Man's girlfriend, Alesha, about how he's doing in the House and what he's really like on the outside. Here's what she had to say...

Just how much of a pussycat is Victor when you get him alone?

Alesha: He's a big, big pussycat. When it's just me, him and our son, he's a big softie. All this 'Slick Vic', it's just for his friends. That's his persona. But when it's just us he's very loving. A BFG. A Big Friendly Giant.

How do you think being in Big Brother will affect his life outside?

Alesha: I think he'll be the same. He has his close group of friends and as long as their view of him hasn't changed, and it hasn't, he's not going to be really affected by the Big Brother experience.

What did he tell you about going up for BB?

Alesha: He didn't think he'd get this far. He just wanted to go in there, be himself and see what happened. His gameplan wasn't designed for him to win, it was designed for him to stay in as long as possible. But he's a very quick thinker, so he can evaluate a situation and weigh pros and cons very quickly.

How will he spend the dosh if he wins?

Alesha: If Vic's got £1,000, he spends it like he's a millionaire. He's very generous to his friends. He would give his last penny to a friend or to someone else who needed it. I can see him just giving it away.

What's the reaction to him in Forest Gate?

Alesha: They're loving it. One of his friends has posters in his car and there are posters up at his university. They're really supportive because that's the Victor they know and love.

Is Victor really a big shot in his neighbourhood?

Alesha: He really is. Most people know him. If you say 'Victor from Forest Gate', most people will know him.

Who will he hook up with from the house after the show is finished?

Alesha: Yeah, Jason. It's lads, innit. They get on. I know people say he doesn't have a sense of humour, but he does. There are certain things that he finds funny that Victor finds funny. If Victor didn't like him as much as he does, then you wouldn't see him being the way he is with Jason.

Is his favourite hat in there with him?

Alesha: I don't think he has a favourite hat. I've lost count of the number of hats he has.

If he had the dosh what hat would he buy?

Alesha: I can see him buying a hat or two. Or three. Because his son looks so much like him he gets him to try them on and if it looks good on him he buys it. His son is the spitting image of him.

What's his best quality as a dad?

Alesha: He has so many good qualities. He's loving and playful. He'll always make time for his son, it doesn't matter what he's doing. Nothing is too good for his son.

Is he really a hit with da ladees?

Alesha: (Rolls eyes) He gets on well with women. He's never cheated on me, because I would break his arse if he ever. And he knows it. But women are drawn to him.

Can he actually cook?

Alesha: He couldn't be on Masterchef or anything, but he can cook. He might make a big, big mess but he tries. And he helps me, peeling potatoes, chopping onions. I'm slowly teaching him. But if I was a housemate in there, I wouldn't want him cooking for 12 people.

Is he a natural peacemaker?

Alesha: When it calls for it, yes. If he sees a situation that doesn't need to escalate, he'll step in. He doesn't resort to arguments. When he does argue it is actually to resolve something.

What do his posse think of him going in?

Alesha: They love it. He's always said he'd try for Big Brother; he's such a big character. His family has always watched it. His friends are all hard boys and they wouldn't like to admit it, but they have to me, they're all missing him really badly.
