Default Press Release: Wedding Task Update

SHELL AND VICTOR TO MARRY IN BIG BROTHER WEDDING

Big Brother cordially invites you to watch Shell and Victor being joined in Big Brother matrimony. The wedding will take place on Wednesday 21 July on E4 (TX: 10pm, Thursday 22 July, Channel 4) at the Big Brother house in Elstree Film and Television Studios, Hertfordshire with the following wedding party line-up:

The Bride - Shell
The Groom - Victor
The Father of the Bride - Stuart
The Bridesmaid – Nadia
The Best Man - Dan
The Clergyman - Jason
The Chorister – Michelle

The housemates decided amongst themselves who would take each role at the wedding. Shell immediately jumped up saying, “I want to be bride, I want to be bride.” Victor then continued, “well, I’ll be groom.” Michelle voiced her disappointment at not being bride to Stuart’s groom. Shell then offered to step down as bride if Michelle was able to cajole Stuart into accepting her Big Brother marriage proposal. However, Stuart, feeling that it would be ‘weird’ for them to play the role of bride and groom, rejected her proposal. Michelle did not give up easily but still did not succeed in encouraging him to walk down the aisle as her groom.

The housemates will have to wear a badge marked with their wedding roles for the next three days. If the housemates pass the task they will receive a privilege pass and their shopping allowance for next week. If housemates fail there will be no privilege pass and housemates must live off basic rations.

I'm so pleased that it's not Michelle and Stuart as Bride and Groom, that would have just been so nauseating I don't think I could have watched.

Hurrah!! Shell has finally put herself first and managed to get involved in something. If Michelle had been the bride after being a sergeant last week, it would have been too much!

I'm am so pleased that Stuart has finally stood up to Michelle as well. She is starting to get well scary!

This could be the turning point for Shell and Stuart to be more involved; Michelle's popularity is definitely dropping like a stone at the moment.

I hope Stu actually used the word "weird" when telling Michelle he didn't want to marry her I'm glad it's not those two. I could deal with any other pairing. Shell and Vic will be quite funny.

If Michelle and Stuart had been bride and groom I might have started throwing things at the television. Like I felt like doing at Michelle's 'keep Stuart in plea' last Thursday.

The Wedding Task: Who's Who
Day 53, 20:15
Monday 19 July

The weekly task is underway and two of the housemates will be getting hitched on Wednesday.

Here's a list of who's who and what they have to do at the wedding of the summer...

The Bride

Shell will be taking on the staring role in the latest Big Brother drama. Her duties are: making her wedding dress, marrying the groom, and writing and delivering her wedding vows.

The Groom

Victor is stepping gallantly into the groom's shoes. His duties are: marrying the bride, writing and delivering the wedding vows, and writing and delivering the groom's speech.

The Father of the Bride

Stuart will be giving Shell away. His duties are: decorating one tier of the wedding cake, giving the bride away, and writing and delivering the father of the bride speech.

The Bridesmaid

Nadia's playing the 'best friend' part. Her duties are: making the bridesmaid's dress, preparing the bride's hair and make-up on the wedding day, and walking behind the bride in the wedding procession.

The best man for the job

The Best Man

Dan has secured the role of best man. His duties are: decorating one tier of the wedding cake, looking after the wedding rings on the day of the wedding, and writing and delivering the best mans speech.

The Clergyman

Jason will be taking on the responsibilities of the man of the cloth. His duties are: writing and delivering the service.

The Chorister

Michelle will be providing the music on the big day. Her duties are: to learn and sing the hymn 'Pie Jesu' at the wedding service.

Wonder who'll catch the bouquet?

Stu says 'I don't'

STU has left Big Brother girlfriend Michelle heartbroken after refusing to 'marry' her during the housemates' weekly task.

The Newcastle lass had her heart set on walking up the aisle with her 'chicken' Stu but the brainy student told her it would be 'weird' for the couple to play the parts of bride and groom.

Shell and Victor will tie the knot instead with Stu playing the father of the bride and Michelle acting as chorister.

Jason has chosen to be the clergyman while hairdresser Dan beat transexual Nadia to the role of best man.

She will instead play the bridesmaid at the fake wedding which will take place on Wednesday evening.

If the housemates pass the task, they will receive a privilege pass and their shopping allowance for next week.

But if they fail, they will have to live off basic rations.

Michelle's wedding dream shattered

Michelle was left fuming when Stuart turned down the chance to marry her in the Big Brother wedding task.

Instead Shell and Victor will tie the knot, while Michelle has been relegated to the role of chorister.

Viewers had expected lovebirds Michelle and Stuart to play the bride and groom.

But when the housemates were told to decide among themselves who would take each role, Shell immediately jumped up saying: "I want to be bride, I want to be bride."

Victor chipped in: "Well, I'll be groom."

Michelle immediately complained that she wanted to marry her beloved Stuart. Shell offered to step down as bride if Michelle got Stuart to walk down the aisle. But Stuart turned Michelle down, saying it would be "weird" for them to play bride and groom and stood firm despite Michelle's repeated pleas.

Stuart will play the father of the bride, with Nadia as bridesmaid, Dan as best man and Jason as clergyman.

As Shell excitedly prepared for Wednesday's wedding, Michelle sat in the living room with a face like thunder.

Earlier in the day Stuart, 20, squirmed as the 23-year-old Geordie quizzed him about their relationship. She told him of her fears that he will run off with a girl closer to his own age when they leave the house.

"I've only got eyes for one Michelle," Stuart said - although he failed to mention how he would behave around women with any other name.

Stuart has to be the biggest jerk ever to appear on a BB series. MENSA should throw him out ASAP.

Ok so he doesn't want to do it. That's not the problem. The problem is he is to imature to give a lass a proper intelligent explanation. It's like......Errr. It's like Errr. When is he going to learn to talk. Send him home and let his mumsy put him back in his cot........
