Chained Melody
Quote:
The housemates had a music and poetry test to pass whilst still chained up to each other.
For the test - part of the weekly task - one housemate had to learn four lines of poetry within 30 minutes, while the other would have to learn to play the chorus of 'Combine Harvester' on the recorder.
Jason and Michelle made it to the Diary Room first to pick up the laminate with the details of the test. The instructions stated that the pair who went to the Diary Room would have to take the test themselves.
The pair decided Jason would read the poetry - Edward Lear's 'The Quangle Wangles Hat'. As he learnt his lines, Michelle practiced the recorder.
Shell could play the instrument that has tortured parents for generations and quickly showed Michelle the right notes to play.
"That's awesome. That's wicked," said Stuart of Shell playing the Wurzels' 'classic'.
Jason and Michelle returned to the Diary Room when called and emerged looking confident that they'd passed the test.
When another pair of housemates were summoned to the Diary Room, Shell and Stuart were first through the door. There they found a hamper with two bottles of wine and two beers - an unrelated treat from Big Brother.
"Let's get wasteeeed!" said Stuart, optimistically.
The arrival of some booze certainly perked up the housemates as they gathered on the smoking bench in the garden.
