Housemates reached another cigarette crisis tonight as Shell begged Michelle to give up the pack of tobacco she'd been told to hide until Thursday.

"I don't know where I've put it," said Michelle, teasing the nicotine-addicted.

"Think!" insisted Shell.

But Michelle reminded Shell she was just following orders.

"That was Nadia," pleaded Shell. "Don't give any to Nadia," she said, taking her life in her hands and seeming to forget she'd been there when they'd agreed to hide the pouch of tobacco.

Shell then rounded on Nadia, asking her why she'd said they should hide one packet of tobacco.

Nadia said, somewhat ridiculously given the strength of her vice, "I thought we could do it."

"Did you consult anybody? No." said Shell, at great personal risk.

"Don't even push it," said Nadia.

Michelle then asked the three smokers to give a little speech on why they deserved the tobacco.

Nadia nobly blamed herself for the nicotine drought. Dan said he could do without, not helping the cause much. Under pressure from the unimpressed Shell and Nadia he said he did enjoy a post-meal fag but those more needy had smoked it.

"If you give him one he never complains," said Nadia with a pout.

Shell's speech was straightforward. "I just want a cigarette."

Perhaps moved by her simple words, Michelle agreed to go get the pouch, with Jason trailing behind her, to restore peace and fags to the House.
