Housemates were given a treat tonight when Big Brother showed them video messages from their loved ones.

The unsuspecting housemates shrieked when Daniel's brother and friends appeared on screen. "Oh my God!" screeched Michelle, before Dan told her to "shurrrup!" so he could listen to the, "Miss you, love you," message.

Jason's mate and flatmate were next on screen, his flat buddy telling him to "stay away" because their flat was now tidy and he was enjoying the space.

"Did you hear the Scottish accents?" said Jason, in awe.

Then Michelle was treated to a message from her mum, dad, sister and pussycat.

"They are all so Geordie," she squeaked as the image dimmed from the screen.

When Nadia's friends came on she shrieked so loudly Michelle had to tell her to be quiet so she could hear her own message.

"We love you each day more and more," her friends told her, as she wiped away a tear.

But Shell outdid Nadia for tears when she caught sight of her mum, dad and boyfriend. Shell cried her eyes out but this time they were tears of joy.

"There's Scottish accents galore," said Jason of Shell's family. "What happened to you?" While Shell muttered she was pleased to note her boyfriend had purchased a new shirt.

And finally there was Team Handsome, Stuart's mates. He laughed and cheered as they appeared and did the Team Handsome hand signal. "I love you guys..!" He wailed at the screen, before asking his Big Brother buddies, "Did you notice how handsome they were?"

After their message surprise, the housemates are in great spirits.

And with a hamper arriving in the Diary Room, it could be time for a party...

Awww, very nice. But not in keeping with Evil Big Bro. They should have shown them taped messages from people who hate them, or show them some of the text messages from the live feed!! Then give them a load of alcohol.
