Wayne Rooney\'s Spitting Incident

WAYNE Rooney must apologise to a photographer he allegedly spat at — or go to court.
Cops have given the Manchester United ace until Monday to decide following an incident outside a restaurant.
Rooney, 22, will still be ARRESTED and cautioned for common assault even if he says sorry to snapper Lee Simmons, 21.
But if he rejects the police proposal he will be charged and appear in front of magistrates.
Rooney allegedly spat on Simmons’s back as he left the Michelin-starred Hakassan Chinese restaurant with wife Coleen in central London in July.
The next day cops quizzed the England star, who denied the offence.
But saliva on the snapper’s clothing is said to match Rooney’s DNA.
The £31million striker is in London with United this weekend for their match with Chelsea.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Inquiries are continuing.”
