I miss History....

Although I'd be no help as we only did a bit of marxists. Couldn't you find the main people of each group and then go from there?

Compare

* Marxists + Feminists - Both believe that humans are being subordinated in some way. With Marxists they believe that the bourgeoisie are dominating the proletariat, whereas Feminists believe that patriarchy exists and women are subordinates to men.

* Marxists + Feminists - Both believe that media is instrumental in gaining domination. Marxism believes that media is used as an ideological state apparatus in order to transmit ideologies and dull the masses. Feminists believe similar in that traditional gender roles are being encouraged through the media i.e. the idea that women belong in the kitchen and men are the breadwinners.

* Functionalists + Marxists - Both are positivist theories. This means that they both seek to prove things using scientific research methods and aim to produce quantified findings to find structural perspectives.

* Marxists + Functionalists - Both share the common view that religion serves to legitimise the morals and laws within society. Both also see Religion as a "symbol" rather than literal meaning. Marxists believe it is a symbol of oppression, whereas Functionalists believe it's a symbol of social integration and a belonging of community.

Contrasts

* Functionalists and Marxists - Whereas F's believe that the people in power serve to integrate community, M's believe those in power are serving to oppress us in order to dull us into working everyday and working to keep the surplus economy for Capitalism.

* Marxists and Feminists - M's believe it's upper classes dominating the proletariat, whereas F's believe it's men.

* Marxists + Functionalists - M's believe that crime is a result of working class being oppressed and striving for material goods, whereas F's believe it's a positive thing in small doses as it gives us a chance to act as a community and bring just punishment.

* Marxists&Functionalists + Feminists - Whereas M&Func's use positivist scientific approaches to research methods - Fem's use the phenomenology approach of observational techniques.

Haha, create an essay plan first to get you motivated, like:

Intro ->
Para 1 ->
Para 2 ->

So you know what to write for each paragraph, and then write down some good sentences that will link each point to the next paragraph.

Good luck, I hate essays!!
