Any smokers out there? These are the new images being put on packets of cigarettes from today. Will they put you off?

I don't get our govenrment. They bang on about people stopping smoking, then why not just ban the sale of cigarettes in this country?

Answer they won't, because they actually want people to smoke because it brings in a hell of alot of money to them, and the cost of NHS treatment for smokers is still a lot less than the revenue brought in by the sale of Cigarettes and cigarette products.

It didn't before when they showed the adverts of arteries being clogged with white gunk, so I doubt it will now.

Also in this case, the sale of cigarettes would fall onto the black market where they could become more harmful and prices going sky high. Not that they aren't already.
