I do this as there is no internet there, so it helps me stay on task and the night helps me sink into the world I am writing about

Ussually in the dead of night. I just feel full of inspiration at the time. I write around my house really. Ussually in the conservatory since it's quite nice in the middle of the night.

If at work, during slack periods, but this is a problem as the new director has a thing about people surfing the internet, so when we have a dead period, what are we to do?

At home, I usually write on the laptop, due to problems with the desktop
