As the storm set in this evening, the housemates were forced inside and have been on low key form.

Attempting to brave the thunderstorm they sheltered from the heavy rain on the decking. But they eventually gave up and retired inside.

Daniel and Jason had quiet time in the bedroom while Shell took up her customary position at the cooker.

As she whipped up spaghetti bolognaise, assistants Stuart and Nadia destroyed the broccoli with their unique chopping technique. They then set about washing up the debris.

Stuart briefly broke the monotony of drying up by singing and waving a tea towel about his head before returning to his duties.

Shell served up steaming piles of spaghetti while Stuart was dispatched to round up the absent housemates for dinner.

Subdued as they sat down to dine, the gang were still dwelling on the afternoon's events. "That was just crap," said a downbeat Shell, referring to the nominations video they had been forced to watch.

But they managed a laugh with Jason mocking Daniel's attempt at a Scottish accent.

And the gang decided to risk the weather and ventured outside to take in the night air while Jason did his share of the chores, washing up after dinner.

Rain, rain go away, come again another day...
