Laura shuns sex to win

STUNNING Laura White made her boyfriend an EX and gave up SEX in her bid to win X Factor.

In an exclusive interview her dad Adrian revealed that 21-year-old Laura has turned her back on romance to focus on her singing.

He said: “She’s not seeking a buzz from boys or sex but from music and performing in front of a crowd. At the moment more than ever that’s her life and boyfriends don’t come into it.”

Adrian, 50, added: “She did have a boyfriend. They went out for between six and 12 months and split up recently but have stayed good friends. He is very supportive and was one of her 12 mates who travelled down to support her at the first live show.”

Laura is now red-hot 15/8 favourite to win X Factor after her performance of Alicia Keys’ Fallin’ last week.

Adrian revealed she could have won three years ago, but walked out to pursue fame on another TV show.

Laura got through to the second round of X Factor in the year Shayne Ward won it.

But rather than carry on with the heats, she quit to appear in the E4 flop, School Of Performing Arts. When that bombed Laura went back to her studies and obscurity, bitterly regretting saying no to X Factor.

Now she has a second shot at the big time and is taking no chances, even it means missing out on romance.

“She doesn’t even talk about boys and partying. She has decided at the moment to stay away from them and dedicate all of her time to singing. All she says all week is, ‘I can’t wait to sing at the weekend — performing is my life’, said Adrian.

“In fact it means so much to her that after a performance she gets quite down during the week, and she’s very, very quiet.

“At the moment boys are in second place to performing. She’s just totally dedicated to winning X Factor and becoming famous.”
