It was Stuart that got evicted last night was it?

I have not come from a paralel universe have I ?

It must be true that Shell went as it is in an official Big Brother Newspaper

According to there website last night -

"At half past ten on Wednesday night, Stuart was called into the Diary Room to tell him he had been evicted, with just two per cent of the votes to win the show."

this morning the site has the shell story on the newspaper cover...... what is big brother up to!

The paper had probably prepared similar stories about each of the remaining housemates as they knew someone was going to be evicted.

Someone must have ran with the wrong version late last night. I wonder if they still have a job this morning

Wonder what the percentages were. I know they said Stuart got 7% of the total - perhaps Shell was close behind and they made an assumption or she had been the one to going and there were last minute votes for her. But whoever passed that WHOOPS.

All I can say is they must be anti-shell living in hope it would ne her going, that's because she was the fave to go! I was pleased with the result, I was glad to see the back of Stu just because he began to be very irritating!

Star stumbles over Big Brother "scoop"
Thu 5 August, 2004 12:26

LONDON (Reuters) - The Daily Star tabloid has joined the ranks of newspapers that have stumbled with political "scoops" -- except this time it was over the politics of reality television.

"Bomb Shell Rocks Big Bro" the paper blared in a front page headline in its early Thursday edition, referring to the latest eviction from the popular "Big Brother" reality TV series.

Unfortunately, the paper named the wrong person.

The Star -- which prides itself as "The Official Big Brother Newspaper" -- devoted its front page and four inside pages to describing what happened when student Shell Jubin was sent off the programme, watched by 7 million viewers.

It even quoted a source as saying: "This was a very evil twist which was planned to take the whole gang by surprise".

Instead, it was the Star that was taken by surprise.

The paper rushed out a later edition correctly naming Stuart Wilson as the real evictee from "Big Brother", where a mix of people live together in a camera-filled house.

Although not as grave as political gaffes such as The Chicago Tribune's infamous 1948 headline "Dewey Defeats Truman" or The New York Post's erroneous "Kerry Picks Gephardt", the Star's rivals will doubtless pounce on its mistake.

The twists and turns on the popular TV programme -- in its fifth series -- regularly make the pages of the competitive tabloid newspapers. Several of the show's participants have gone on to lucrative television careers.

Nobody at the Star was available for comment on the Big Brother "scoop".
