Default Scott Bruton voted off X Facto

Quote:
Scott Bruton voted off X Facto
SIMON COWELL lost his first act last night as Scott Bruton was voted off X Factor.

The 19-year-old sung for survival against Daniel Evans after receiving the least viewer’s votes.

But his performance of I Can’t Make You Love Me wasn’t enough to save him as judges chose to keep Daniel in the competition.

Holding back the tears he said: “I’d just like to thank all my friends and family for believing in me.”

Earlier in the night Scott performed That’s Life as part of X Factor’s Big Band themed night.

Mentor Simon said: “A couple of years ago that performance would have kept you in, but the standard was really high tonight.”

Scott Bruton – That’s Life

I sat down in my chair happy in the knowledge that the Pontins Blue Coat would deliver a performance worthy of me throwing pop corn at the television.

Imagine how annoyed I was when he opened his mouth and actually belted out That’s Life in a performance to be proud of.

And then he got voted off.

Damn you, Louis, Cheryl and Dannii. Damn you.

Daniel Evans – Lady Is A Tramp

Blah blah blah blah blah.

If I wanted karaoke I’d go to a karaoke bar – not tune in to prime time ITV.

Laura White – God Bless The Child

Yep, a cracking performance. But the way the judges banged on about it you’d have thought it was a revived Frank Sinatra up on stage.

Eoghan Quigg – L-O-V-E

There was something quite unnerving about watching this doughy-eyed lad trying to be all jaunty – a bit like when someone over the age of 40 tries to use the phrase “Am I bovvered”.

Ruth Lorenzo – Summertime

Well that was quite a dress - in fact all else about her performance escapes my mind. I’ll just assume it was fantastic.

Alexandra Burke – Candy Man

Well well well. After two wholly disappointing weeks she pulled out the performance of the series so far.

On a scale of one to foxy, she looked pretty darn foxy-licious, and her song and dance was full of personality.

This cheeky little minx just became my favourite.

Austin Drage – Mack The Knife

And while Alex was the best performance, Austin’s was the most fun. I actually found myself smiling and tapping my shoe.

This song has been done to death over the years – murdered by half the people who’ve attempted it – but this lad actually pulled it off.

And what made it better was his dad shrugging his shoulders after the performance and saying with a smirk, “It was alright, I suppose”.

JLS – Ain’t That A Kick In The Head

I went to see Five Guys Named Mo a few years back and these lads reminded me a lot of that show with this performance.

There was a lot of interaction between the guys which was fun to see, but ultimately their vocals let them down.

Diana Vickers - Smile

PUT ON SOME SHOES.

We get it, you’re kooky, you’re different, you’ve got a little girls voice. Well done. Now go to Clarkes.

It’s annoying because this was actually her best performance, but I could enjoy it because I spent the whole time battling the urge to throw my own shoes at the telly.

Rachel Hylton – Feeling Good

Finally a song that this woman could get her teeth into. She absolutely stormed it.

I still wonder what the big deal is with having no shoes on, its safer without shoes, as it ensures you wont slip.

One of Simon's acts down, two to go though Eoghan should of been there, Scott actually sung in tune.

So what if Diana performs bare foot, thats nothing, shes being herself and getting comfortable, but i agree on Alexandra's review

Agreed with most of that article actually, though I don't get why everyone thought Laura's performance wasn't fantastic?
