There wasn't a dry eye in the House tonight as the four remaining housemates contemplated their penultimate evening under the watchful eye of Big Brother.

A mild exaggeration, but as Frank Sinatra's My Way sang into the garden, the gang at least looked to be a little broody, as the lyrics of the old classic seeped into their respective eardrums.

Just moments earlier, Jason had released a balloon for each and every housemate to have graced the House with their presence, as well as one for Big Brother itself.

And so they face the final curtain


Dan, meanwhile, stared moodily off into space as Old Blue Eyes chirruped on, and Shell grinned to herself, perhaps remembering some of the antics she got up to over the course of the ten weeks.

Nadia went so far as to hum along to the music, raising her empty champagne flute to the night sky in a silent toast to somebody or other, perhaps even herself.

The sentimental mood lifted rather, when Shell announced that she was going to do "everything naked" tomorrow, before hurriedly adding that, in fact, she wasn't. Dan's thoughts, meanwhile, turned to the "best bits" tape he's expecting to be shown by Davina tomorrow night, commenting that he hoped his lasts more than one minute.

Fingers crossed.
