X Factor favourite Diana Vickers has lost her voice and may have to pull out of tomorrow's live show.

Diana, 17, has already missed rehearsals after being struck down with a bad throat infection.

A source said there's a "90 per cent" chance she won't recover in time.

It will be the first time a contestant has missed a show in its history.




The source said: "Diana lost her voice on Tuesday and couldn't sing a note.

"She's dosed up on medication and just hopes she'll regain it."

Diana, from Blackburn, is the bookies' favourite to win the ITV contest - and a £1million recording contract with Simon Cowell's label Sony BMG.

Tomorrow the finalists will sing Mariah Carey hits before being joined on stage by the US diva

Laryngitis leaves Diana speechless!

Diana Vickers may miss tomorrow's X Factor after being stuck down with a nasty bout of laryngitis.

Diana lost her voice on Tuesday and medication has not sufficiently helped her recovery.

The 17 year-old from Blackburn will see specialist ear, nose and throat doctors this afternoon; the doctors will then decree whether or not Diana should take place in this week's competition.

Although fellow competitiors Alexandra and Rachel have already battled through performances while struck down with bugs, it looks like Diana's illness may be just too severe.

Unfortunately Diana has already missed a lot of preparations in the run-up to tomorrow's all-important show.

But the singer is still hoping against hope she will be able to take part in the extra special Mariah's songbook show this week.

They're just trying to get attention so people will watch tomorrow to see if she will perform or not and obviously she will after they've wheeled on a sob story about her throat

If she doesn't perform then she should either be out or her fans should still have to vote to keep her in (what they'll be voting for I have no idea) but its not fair to give her a free place until next week

Of Coarse it is, she deserves to go much further than just Week 5, if people have to vote it'll be for her performances in the past weeks
