JLS backed by former X Factor finalists
Quote:
JLS backed by former X Factor finalists X FACTOR singing stars JLS, who include Peterborough sensation Aston Merrygold, have been given the backing of two people who really know how to take the hit talent show by storm.
Same Difference, who reached last year's X Factor final, have given 20-year-old Aston and the rest of JLS bandmates the thumbs up ahead of their big performance tonight in X Factor's Mariah Carey week.
The two-piece act, whose real names are Sean and Sarah Smith, took time out from their trip to Laxton Junior School, in Oundle, yesterday to tell The ET what they thought of JLS's chances of reaching the final.
Same Difference, who wowed the primary school's crowd with their new single We R One, said: "JLS have got every chance of winning the show, and they're the ones that could break through for the groups.
"They've got a massive fanbase out there with the seven to 11-year-olds. Kids tend to latch on to bands more than the solo singers – that's what we found out last year.
"We know they do an awful lot of rehearsing. When other acts are taking it easy, they're working on their performances. They'll definitely make their way to the final."
But The ET weren't the only ones itching to know what the fun-loving pair thought of the JLS crew – Marvin Humes, Ortise Williams, JB Gill and former Jack Hunt Secondary School pupil Aston.
When one plucky pupil from the East Road-based primary school asked who they thought would win this year's X Factor, they said: "We really want to see JLS win it. We think they'll do it."
But Same Difference aren't the only people adding their names to the ever growing list of JLS celebrity fans. Fashion guru Gok Wan is also taking an interest into the awesome foursome.
Last week, The ET revealed how legendary actress Dame Judi Dench told the group they were "fantastic" when she meet them at the royal premiere of James Bond, while former Pop Idol star Will Young said he wanted to be the fifth member of JLS during a masterclass session.
Now, How To Look Good Naked presenter Gok has added his view on Aston and the boys, by saying: "JLS always look very cute. I loved their different colour jackets, I think they were quite sweet."
The stars are certainly coming out to shine for Aston and JLS.
