Alanis Morissette - the reason I am so obsessed with her is because her lyrics are amazing, and so cleverly written and really fit every emotion she is trying to portray.

yeh but my issue with her is the song Ironic some of what shes sings its just not irony its plain bad luck...like rain on your wedding day or whatever. I just cant get past it! americans tho they dont get it...ok shes canadian ignore that bit! Well then there is no excuse!!

it can be ironic though depending on how you look at it. But Ironic is lyrically one of her weakest songs, the majority of her other material is much stronger, listen below.
(And she is Canadian, not American. )
