PORTUGEEZER Nadia Almada got a touch of the willies last night as she won Big Brother 5.

The 27-year-old transsexual — the 50-1 outsider at the start of the show ten weeks ago — beat muscleman Jason in the final showdown.

Nadia almost burst into TEARS when host Davina McCall announced she had won.

She SHOOK as she said: “Oh my God, oh my God,” before reaching for one of her trademark cigarettes.

While being hugged by Jason, Nadia — in a revealing black dress — WOBBLED violently, unable to speak.

After emerging from the house she said: “There are no words to describe my happiness, thank you so much.”

Emotional Nadia told Davina she kept her sex op a secret from housemates so she could live properly as a woman for the first time.

She said: “I just wanted reassurance of myself, I wanted acceptance, I just didn’t mean it to be a lie.”

Nadia sobbed as she told how she struggled to keep her past from her BB pals.

She said: “It was hard because I didn’t want to lie, but I didn’t want to tell them at all. There were times when I thought I should come out in the open and come out clean and be honest about it.”

Then Nadia got another shock — as she was reunited with her mum Conceicao after eight years. She screamed: “Oh my God,” then gave her mum a massive hug.


The last time they saw each other Nadia was a man named Jorge. The scenes were so moving that even Davina shed a tear.

Nadia polled 3,863,696 votes, against Jason’s 1,335,246. Shell — first out last night — got 347,051, and Dan polled 685,995.

The win made Nadia the second virgin in a row to win Big Brother — after fisherman Cameron Stout, who triumphed last year.


Before he left the house to talk to Davina, vain Jason — who had spent hours preening himself during the show — had one last glance in the mirror.

But minutes later, as he viewed his video highlights with Davina, he said: “I don't like looking at myself.”

After hearing she was leaving, Shell hugged Jason, Dan and Nadia and said: “You’ve all been an utter pleasure.”

Dan told Davina said he wasn’t surprised to learn Nadia was a transsexual.

He said: “Yeah, it kind of makes sense — it doesn’t take Einstein to work out there’s something there . . . or not any more.”
