Strictly's John Sergeant's dance partner says he's like X Factor's Daniel Evans

John Sergeant's dance partner has leapt to the defence of the two-left-footed heartthrob.

The veteran political journalist was given a dreadful 12 points at the weekend and judge Len Goodman described his Cha Cha Cha as "more ha ha ha".

But his partner Kristina Rihanoff, has jumped to protect the unlikely dance star.

"The judges shouldn't be saying these things," she says. "Of course it's upsetting to hear criticism, but he's taking it in his stride.

"He knows he's not very good. People like him because he's funny.

"He makes people laugh and is nice.

"People watching on telly don't have a professional eye. He isn't the best but he's the same as Daniel Evans from The X Factor."

Ooh harsh, Kristina. He's much better than Daniel.

Meanwhile, Craig Revel Horwood tells Capital FM: "John knows how to get voters on his side. He is like any politician - they can't be trusted!"

So, that's a saucer of milk for Mr Horwood, then... and probably a shedload more votes for John.

Well she is gorgeous..............but there IS a difference between daniel and john. John doesn't have any pretence to be a dancer, he isn't very good (tho entertaining!) but then they ARE supposed to be novices on SCD. On the other hand Daniel is supposed to be one of BEST twelve acts out of all the singers that auditioned on XF this year, and is getting through on sympathy votes regarding his departed wife. He is also 'singing' for a future career and recording contract. Thats the difference...........
