To make a change from all the Diana/Laura/Ruth/Eoghan/Daniel/Rachel threads

I've seen a few posts recently saying that Aston is the only decent singer and I have to disagree.

No doubt, Aston is a brilliant singer and IMO was even better than the final 3 boys, but JLS as a whole have great (not brilliant) but great singers.

I'm a bit annoyed that they've made Aston take the lead on everything because I still think that Oritsé is great (Although in the live shows he's been pretty hit and miss) Marvin is a capable singer and JB... well honestly, not to be rude but backing vocals are where he belongs. Either way, as they are a boy band, their voices don't all need to be amazing, just have good harmonies.

Anyone else agree?

Without a doubt! Last year, Hope was not like by much because it was all about Phobe, which it wasn't may i add. This year JLS is all about Aston, ALL the band can sing, they are a good band however everyone needs to sing more.

i kinda think louis is going down the same route as westlife and boyzone and maybe even take that where one singer does the majority of the work despite others having decent voices as well then they just fade into the background
i would love louis to let the lead go to one of the others to showcase how they can sing too but tbh i doubt he will do it

Oritsé is my favourite, I don't think he's the best singer but he's a nice guy. I think Marvin is the best singer though, he's a good recording artsist too, he proved that when he was in VS. Aston is pretty good but I want them all to sing, not just him.

No way does he 'carry the band'. This happens with Gary Barlow and TT a lot,people always say he does all the lead vocals and the other 3 do nothing. But everyone forgets that harmonies,melody's andbv's are just as important as lead. You can always tell which song suits which voice for lead anyways(well according to TT you can).

Oh right JLS! Got distracted there,hah. Well all what I said about TT applies to them too,it's not like everyone but Aston is just standing there now is it?

I got to agree with you , My favourite is Oritsé. And i think they'd just sing better all in a group. Than Aston singing it all.

David - Yeh, Oritse was amazing in the auditions, he was my favourite until he got less showing.

and Princess, I agree, I'm just saying what some others are saying.

i dont think JLS have ever been bad i think they can all sing and they r great lads and i hope they win and go far

Nope it was Marvin, the one in pink, though i'm not sure the exact week it was, definetly either week 1 or 2

Yes, Aston defo carries the band. I really like Aston, a well as beening gorgeous and cute, that guy can sing.

yeah hes the best singer or the one that wears the red because in the auditions out of them all he had the best voice and even simon said so but he never sings lead in anything or any solo parts hardly..
the one in the yellow ( dont know names just colours haha) he is sucha a bad singer!!
i think he does carry the band ..hes quite cute too
