My Diana is no liar

X FACTOR hopeful Diana Vickers’ mother has hit back at her critics, insisting “my daughter is no liar”.

Diana faced the wrath of fans after she skipped last week’s show due to laryngitis – meaning favourite Laura White was booted off instead.

Outraged supporters of Laura claimed she faked a bad throat to avoid having to perform.

But mum Ann says the illness was so bad that Diana couldn’t event speak let alone sing.

She told a Sunday newspaper: “She was given a pen and paper and told to write notes instead of talking.

“If she had to speak at all they told not to raise her voice above a whisper.

“It wasn’t the X Factor or me or anyone else telling her. It was a top throat specialist.

“She was stuck watching the other contestants getting ready to perform in the show she wanted to be in.

“Then people started saying these terrible things about why she wasn’t on. It’s not nice.”

Diana sang last night and sailed through to the next round.

Instead Daniel Evans was booted off the show after a sing-off against Rachel Hylton.

He was the first of Dannii Minogue’s contestants to get the boot, and his exit left the Aussie judge in tears.

This is ridiculous, Diana is in no way to blame for Laura going home, if Diana performed Laura would have still went home because Diana's fans would save her anyways
