'I hated being on X Factor and was made to feel like an outsider,' admits reject Rachel Just two days after bowing out gracefully from The X Factor, Rachel Hylton has revealed the truth behind her difficult few months on the show.
Despite thanking the judges and saying she 'enjoyed the show' when she was voted off on the Saturday night live programme, today Rachel was telling a different story.
Away from The X Factor on This Morning today, Rachel felt comfortable to admit she didn't enjoy her period on the programme and had a bad relationship with one of the female contestants.
On Saturday, JLS were saved by Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell after a sing-off with Rachel.
Rachel's mentor Dannii Minogue was devastated and told the reformed drug addict: 'You're an amazing girl. We've had a great time. I'm really sad to see you go.'
Speaking to Philip Schofield and Ruth Langsford today, the mother-of-five admitted she didn't enjoy her X Factor experience.
Unlike the remaining contestants, Rachel did not live in the X Factor house in London because she was continuing to care for her two youngest children at her council house.
She admitted she clashed with one female contestant in particular, but refused to name her.
The remaining female contestants are Diana Vickers, 17; Ruth Lorenzo, 25; and Alexandra Burke, 20.
Rachel admitted she clashed with the unnamed female during rehearsals in front of Take That, who warned her she needed to 'calm it down'.
She said she was hurt that her rival 'let rip and didn't get in trouble'.
Rachel also accused her fellow contestants of failing to support her.
The 26-year-old said: 'To be honest, none of them were really my friends.
'I could've used some support when I was at my lowest points in the show. They all support each other. They were all close to each other - but nobody had any time for me.
'The bottom line is, I always got left out and I always got made to feel like an outsider.
'Sometimes I just went off on my own because I was made to feel left out. You know, I always tried to be gracious and say nice things about everybody.
'But what I wanted to say was, 'What have I done wrong? Why are you lot treating me like this?'
During her two months on the show, Rachel claimed her natural singing style and personality were toned down.
