X Factor - Alexandra Burke wants to be Madonna

Alexandra Burke is hoping that the public will vote her the X Factor winner 2008 in two weeks time.

The 20-year-old really wants to be the next big thing.

She told the official X Factor website that she'll know when she's made it when she's "got a career like Madonna's!

Alexandra is loving every minute of the X Factor: "I can't believe it; I'm having the best time. I feel like the time is right to do something big!"

Before the X Factor Alexandra did the clubs circuit. She explains: "I was singing every weekend. I had a gig every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I earned money but not enough. But I got valuable experience from it.

"It feels good to be chasing my dream now. My worst clubs have been where nobody pays any attention - it gets depressing. I'd finish a song and they'd be so busy eating no-one would clap."

Alexandra is very close to all her family: "My mum, my sister, and my brother David. We're on the phone every day. As soon as I get a chance to, I'll call them."

Her motto for life is "I'll never look down on people unless I'm helping them up."

I think she will be big, maybe not like Madonna, plus the fact Alex can sing better then Madonna lol.
