\'I\'ll be devastated if that snake in the grass David Van Day wins,\' says Nicola McLean as she\'s evicted
Quote:
'I'll be devastated if that snake in the grass David Van Day wins,' says Nicola McLean as she's evicted WAG Nicola McLean is in for a shock after her arch enemy David Van Day was tipped to win I'm A Celebrity.
The glamour girl branded him 'a snake in the grass' as she became the seventh person to be thrown out of the camp last night.
But viewers have taken the Eighties singer to their hearts, with show insiders saying Van Day is leading the voting 'by a country mile'.
Van Day's popularity will come as a shock for fans of ex-eastEnder Joe Swash, who had been tipped to win the show.
The news will also come as a blow to Nicola, who refused to hug Van Day as she left the camp.
She told him: 'David let me just say something, your game is very good, better than mine.
'Watch out everyone, there's a snake in the camp.'
During her 18 days in the Australian jungle McLean has been at the centre of many of the camp's arguments. She also kept male viewers glued to the screen by showing off her ample cleavage in her polka dot bikini and low-cut vests.
The 25-year-old came in the bottom three with Star Trek actor George Takei and pop star Simon Webbe.
After leaving camp, busty Nicola bounded into the interview room, which was evidently noticed by hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
Ant said: 'You bounced in here very happily.'
During her exit interview, Nicola admitted she found jungle life a real struggle because she had been separated from her footballer fiancé Tommy Williams, who plays for Portsmouth, and their young son Rocky.
She admitted she was disappointed to have been evicted from the jungle, admitting she hoped to win the show.
She said: 'I'm super excited. I was in it to win it, but I'm excited to speak to my fiancé and son. This is the hardest thing I've ever done.'
It wasn't long before talk turned to her nemesis Van Day and his game plan to win the show.
She added: 'I'm gutted I didn't outlast David.
'The jungle-life was cool, but missing my son and my fiancé. I ached for my baby. My heart really ached for him.
'They're not here so I've got to wait to see them. I'm a full-time mum and I needed him. I felt so guilty all the time.'
When asked to divulge more about her rivalry with David, she explained: 'As soon as David walked him I disliked him and disliked Timmy (Mallett).
'He knew Joe was favourite to win and targeted Joe. Fair play to him, he knows what's he doing. It's just the extend of the nastiness I don't like.
'And then he roped me in. I think he thought I was playing a game.
'When he suggested I flirt with him, are you joking? That was disgraceful. He's old enough to be my dad.
'When I left, I hugged everyone but David. I said: "No, don't touch me."
'I could have a better time with Joe if that vile, vile creature hadn't come in.'
After deliberation, Nicola tipped Simon to win.
