X Factor - Eoghan Quigg needs to pinch himself
Quote:
X Factor - Eoghan Quigg needs to pinch himself There are only two weeks left before the winner of the X Factor 2008 is announced and Eoghan Quigg could well end up being the youngest ever winner.
Eoghan is not tipped to win the series but who knows what can happen on the night. After all, Leon Jackson was the underdog last year and he walked away with the record deal.
The Irish schoolboy told the official X Factor website: "When I entered this competition I didn't even think I would get past the first round, but here I am in the final four with the semi-final coming up on Saturday, this whole experience has been amazing, the best of my life I'm just so happy I entered the competition.
"All I'm thinking about is the semi-final, I've got two great songs this week and I've just got to go out there on Saturday and give the greatest performance of my life. Once that's over, then maybe, we can think about the final!"
Eoghan also revealed what it was like to be the last one saved: "To be honest it got down to just me and Ruth, I wasn't even thinking about the competition, I was thinking about home and my friends and family who've supported me.
"It wasn't until Dermot called out my name and I realised where I was again – it really was totally bizarre!"
Even if Eoghan doesn't win he will still have a smile on his face.
He explains: "I will miss the house because 11 weeks is a long time to live anywhere, I've adapted to it now so it will seem strange to move, but at the same time I am really looking forward to going to home to see my friends and family.
