Blackpool waxworks museum beams down George Takei Modellers at Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks have been inundated with visitors asking for one of its ‘archived’ models to be resurrected.
The wax head of Star Trek’s ‘Mr Sulu’ has been sat on a shelf in the studio in the Waxworks for nearly 21 years.
But 71-year-old actor George Takei, who played Sulu, is now enjoying a surge in popularity with his appearance on the ITV reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here’.
Matthew Titherington, general manager at the attraction, said: “George’s career seems to be enjoying a revival so we are considering getting him down and exhibiting him again.
"We have had lots of requests to get him back on the floor and we always try to respond to them.”
