Cancer-stricken Jade Goody bares all about her battle with cervical cancer

Sitting in the bath with shorn hair, and naked - Jade Goody bared all about the effects of her cancer treatment in her new TV show last night.

In the first episode of Jade, the brave Big Brother star is shown receiving radiotherapy treatment, discussing the painful after-effects of her hysterectomy and chemotherapy, and breaking down in tears as she struggles to battle with cervical cancer.

Jade said in documentary: 'I am not embarrassed to talk about things. I feel better when I talk about it.

'Personally being told I got something at such a young age with two kids and I have no control over, it just makes me think I don't care what people think about me or what they say, or judge me.'

The 27-year-old beautician - whose boyfriend Jack Tweed is in prison for assault - is shown visiting the Royal Marsden cancer hospital for radiotherapy.

Afterwards Jade spoke frankly about the effects on her body. She said: 'Oh my god, I am not in pain the radiotherapy gurgles in my stomach. I just feel like I am a 27-year-old in a 50-year-old's body - I had an operation that took my womb out.

'Sometimes you get really horrible sensations in your private parts and your bottom, sorry.'

She added: 'Radiotherapy is really quick it's just, going in the hospital, lying on a bed and having a machine go all the way around you.

'I have to drive an hour up and an hour back just for three minutes, but those three minutes could save my life.'

The former Big Brother star has had a number of shows on the cable channel, and decided to continue filming the show throughout her treatment.

She is seen going about her daily life as a mother, and celebrity, as well as undergoing treatment.

And in one lighter moment from the show comically gets herself into a bit of a tangle on a massage table.

The show also ran stills from the moment that Jade was told of her illness in the Indian version of show Big Brother's house.

During the show she dismissed reports she contacted other celebrities who had tackled the disease.

'I've never tried to contact Kylie, Trisha or anyone else. I'm not like that. I'm in the public eye but if you look at it, I have no celebrity friends,' she said.

'All my friends are just normal people who go to work. I ring them up when I'm crying, I ring them up when I'm happy. I'm not like that.'

In the show, Jade talks candidly about her illness and why she has decided to live out her illness so publicly.

'Trisha is massively inspirational. She used to run to get he treatment every day and I just think, "amazing, wow"', she said.

'It is my chance to actually speak out about something. There are thousands of people going through it who would like to speak about it but haven't got the opportunity to.
