Warning for Eoghan fans
Quote:
Warning for Eoghan fans There are fears that thousands of Eoghan Quigg fans will descend in Dungiven tomorrow for the final of the X Factor, but organisers of the local GAA Club that screens the show each week warn there is only room for 250 supporters in their hall.
Officials from St. Canice’s Club in the town say people from Belfast and in the Republic want to be in the town for the big night, but for health and safety reasons, they have set out guidelines governing who will be allowed into the club.
All children going into the club must be accompanied by an adult, and the 250-crowd entry will be strictly controlled.
“There will be a big screen in the club Car Park throughout the evening,” said a spokesperson, explaining Limavady Council has organised a big screen for Dungiven Community Centre.
“Families and children are urged to use this facility, and patrons should note that alcohol will not be available in the club car park or the Dungiven Community Centre,” he said.
The Garvagh Road section in front of St. Canice’s GAA Centre will be a no parking zone, while buses and coaches are asked to park away from the town as parking spaces in the town is limited.
“Patrons are asked to co-operate with stewards at all times in the interests of health and safety,” said the spokesperson.
