Default Ahh! My spot! [ewish content] {help}

Omfg, I have a HUGE RED spot on the side of my nose and I have been scratching and trying to pop it all day and now it has become AN ACTUAL LUMP on my nose like a solid red bump. What can I do to stop the redness and basically get rid of it as much as possible before school tomorrow!?
[I have no Clearasil or anything and don't have time to buy anything like that]

try to put something really hot on it, it apparently kills off the bacteria in it.

was gonna say toothpaste otherwise if you have nowt in not sure anything else but if you can get some tea tree you can get little sticks of it which you put on spots to clear them up quicker

Thanks guys I'll try those two.
I read that if you put a wet, warm tea bag on it for 3 mins it should clear it up a bit.

Weirdly enough I have the same thing! I woke up and thought it was like a small rash on the side of my nose, but when I felt it there was a lump.

Luckily when I get the odd spot it goes down pretty fast. I just wash my face (without soap) a lot and they go within the next day.

ok...eye drops reduce redness, not sure if you have any handy but if you do give em a go.Ive tried toothpaste in the past and don`t find it that effective but it works for some people, however make sure you don`t use gel toothpase. Not sure how into this idea you may or may not be but if you live with any females, try stealing some concealer,it will totally disguise the redness make sure you blend it in well though.Theres not much else you can do tbh, freederm gel is good but it wont work over night ,takes a few days and im assuming you`d have to go and buy some.

I haven't used soap on it and I've tried to avoid touching it as much as possible because my friends told me it spreads the bacteria [ew].

I hate clearasel, or any products that use chemicals like that, I find it makes my skin worse, plus it can't be that good for your skin with all those chemicals, but w/e works for some people.

I would avoid touching it at all, as it will make it worse. The only thins I would suggest is what some people have suggested here like, steaming you face with a bowl of hot water, and perhaps wash your face with saltwater, as salt is really good at clearly up skin.
It probably doesn't look that bad as your saying, most people (when they have spots) think there skin looks awful, when from another point of view it doesn't. It also might take time to go down to, depending what your skins like.

Splash hot water on it, then cold immediately after. Apparently, the hot water opens up your pores whilst the cold water closes them again.
Worked a couple of times for me.

Also boil the kettle, and put your face in the steam (without burning yourself obviously ) it may dry it up.

I see your point but it's always worked for me so I'm gonna stick with it, seeing as very little has worked in the past.

Yeah, I'm not saying its really bad for everyone, I guess everyone has different skin types and different products work on different people, and tbh I would stick to one thing if it made my skin clearer, which I do atm.

And spots always feel bigger than they actually are. Or just wear a plaster over your nose and pretend you have broke it :P lol

Ok.

Get a scalding hot flannel or something and hold it against your nose. The heat will make the bacteria and puss rise. Lush.

Then, as Nicky mentioned - put some toothpaste on it. It will burn a bit, and go red - but it's drying it out which will heal with quickly.

Once it starts drying out, put something like savlon or other skin healing cream on it.
