Bookmakers have paid out to punters who bet on a couple having sex live on Big Brother for the first time.

It comes after Stuart and Michelle crept under a table to escape the cameras and engaged in an hour of gasping and moaning.

Bookies, convinced that the pair have made Big Brother history by going the whole way, have paid out to punters.

A Big Brother spokeswoman said it had no idea whether the lovers had actually had sex.

But Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: "Punters have been ringing in and asking for their money. From what we've seen we're convinced it happened so we are paying out."

The couple will remain in the house together for at least another week, as both escaped being nominated for eviction.

In a coded conversation with Shell, Michelle seemed to confirm the speculation by hinting that the pair did more than just kiss and cuddle under the table.

Michelle asked Shell if she was any good at "talking in code" before revealing her "immune system" had been "boosted" by the under the table antics.
