After saying sorry to Michelle, Coolio goes to the Diary Room...

As far as a few of the girls seem to be concerned, Coolio isn't going to be anywhere near the top of their Christmas card lists. But have they seen the real Coolio? A mid-morning trip to the Diary Room suggests that maybe there's more to him that meets the eye...

"How are you feeling this morning?" asked Big Brother.

"Like a 45-year-old man," replied Coolio wearily. "I feel every second of my age. I had a rough night. I didn't sleep well." And then, without prompting, he admitted that he may have been 'disrespectful', a point Big Brother was keen for him to elaborate on.

"Well, yesterday I was messing around with Ben and Michelle, trying to play up that they like each other, when they both have somebody," he said sheepishly. "That was pretty disrespectful and I shouldn't have done that. I think I may have made Michelle feel bad and I apologised to her for that."

And there was more. "And I've been a sexist, male chauvinist pig, playing the gangster card," he added quietly. "Basically somewhat being myself... using my dark side more."

And when Big Brother probed further, Coolio fessed up. "I feel bad. She was crying. She had a bad evening and I probably had a lot to do with that. I won't be that wind up no more - I'll have to find a new way."

Wow, I'm impressed he did that of his own accord. It shows he's willing to listen to his fellow housemates, which is what it's all about. Even though he is 45, this can be just as much as a learning curve for him too (same goes for LaToya on a different note, who is a few years older). I found his tactless, couldn't-care-less approach amusing, but so soon it isn't going down well with his housemates and they're finding it annoying...
