Default BBC slammed for Lohan homophobia

Quote:
The BBC has come under fire for broadcasting an end-of-year show that made "sexist and homophobic remarks" about Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

The BBC Three programme The Most Annoying People Of 2008, which aired on December 29, ranked the couple 43rd in its list of 100 most irritating celebrities and included obscene remarks from porn star Ron Jeremy.

Jeremy described in detail the sex acts he would like to perform with the pair, while Radio 5 Live presenter DJ Spoony insisted that attractive women "should be saved for guys".

"Let the munters and mingers get each other - that's cool because no-one really wants them," Spoony said. "But when they're hot and fit and Hollywood superstars, they should be saved for guys."

Human rights activist Peter Tatchell blasted the show, saying: "The remarks by BBC Radio 5 presenter DJ Spoony and straight US porn actor Ron Jeremy were gratuitously sexist and homophobic. The BBC should have never broadcast them. A public apology is due from the BBC."

The BBC declined to apologise, stating that no malice was intended from the "light-hearted and comedic" show.

Who cares? He is just a radio presenter. Bless his heart. Must have thought this was his big TV break.

Quote......Human rights activist Peter Tatchell blasted the show, saying

The last thing those control freaks are interested in is human rights......World domination to ban the right of free expression is their agenda............
