Brian's not Kian on fighting Sep 28 2004

Big Brother's Brian Dowling nearly got a pasting from Westlife's Kian Egan for being a "bitch".

The pair were at the ITV1 Celebrity Awards do on Sunday night when camp TV host Brian, who has interviewed Westlife before, went to say hello to Kian.

Unfortunately his reception was more than slightly frosty because Brian had recently commented that the rudest person he had ever interviewed was Hollyoaks actress Jodi Albert – who is Kian’s girlfriend.

A witness told the Daily Mirror: “Brian has interviewed Westlife lots of times on SM:TV so he went up to say ‘hi’ to Kian at the party.

“Kian went crazy. He shouted at Brian: ‘You have some nerve saying hello to me after what you said about Jodi. You slagged off my girlfriend you bitch’.

“Kian had clearly had a drink or two and was swearing away at Brian. Bri was mortified.�

Jodi came to the rescue and eventually split the pair up, telling Brian she wasn’t bothered about his comments.

After a quick chat, Brian and Jodi made their peace, but Kian wasn’t happy to leave it there.

The source continued: “It was very embarrassing as Kian kept kicking off in front of the other stars. He was shouting: ‘You make up with my girlfriend’.�

Take more water with it next time luv.

Oooh dear! Poor Brian.

Bet we don't see that little encounter on TV tonight.

Mind you, I do think perhaps Brian should be a little more savvy about his 'on record' comments in future. Let's face it, none of us would like it and if he had said something nasty about one of my nearest and dearest I would have had something to say too!

Its the old old story you can say what you like about friends and family but beware anyone else saying anything bad about them. At least it sounds as if Brian and Jodie made up. Amazing what a little bit too much of the demon drink can do to you.

Actually the article referred to didn't mention anyone by name. Brian simply said one of the girls from Hollyoaks was extremely rude to him when he interviewed her. I think Jodi must have had quite a quilty conscience to draw from that that he was talking about her! As she seems to have been very eager to clear the air with Brian, (when after all he hadn't said anything derogatory at all - just that she had been rude to him! not an axe murderer, or a prostitute, just rude!) I think we can see the true picture emerging! If you read the whole of the "offending" article Brian mentioned that people expect him to be rude when they meet him, and are quite surprised when he's not. The interviewer then follwed that with the question "Who is the rudest celeb you've met".

No doubt she was very embarrassed afterwards - and Kian seems to have made a bit of a pratt of himself by trying to continue the argument. The things some people will do when they have an album coming out!

I quite agree, Ig. The only person who's come out badly from this is Kian.

BTW, did you see Westlife on the Celebrity Awards? God, they were dire - and miming yet again. I thought Kian actually looked a bit the worse for wear during the performance.

Brian, on the other hand, was looking good - scrubs up well, doesn't he!

I did indeed Kaz - they sounded quite good, but obviously didn't feel they could perform live! The miming was really bad - and don't get me started on the face-pulling! I got the distinct impression that Mark was horrified by the whole performance, he looked really uncomfortable. Another member going solo soon I reckon!

I agree ! I've read the original article too and Jodi wasn't even mentioned by name!

I have had that manyh of the Hollyoaks girls are 'a bit up themselves' and you are right it doesnt specifically name anyone. Wonder why Kian assumed it was Jodie?

As for Mark going solo, have you actually heard him singing live - now he really is diabolical - miming hides a multitude of sins except for the fact that you cant mime LOL

No I haven't BusyBee - is he really that bad?? I'm so disappointed! I always thought he had the best voice out of Westlife. Not saying much tho really is it??

Are you sure you don't mean Brian, BusyBee? If you do, then I'm in complete agreement!

I think Mark has the best voice as well, Ig ....... and yes, I thought he looked completely embarassed at the Awards show too.
