hi
im having trouble connecting to broadband (wanadoo) ive contacted my isp but they are useless. what happens is i get a message everytime saying that there is no dial tone. the only time it connects is when i reinstall the modem/software. this is a pain everytime i want to go on the net! any help would be appreciated. thanks chris |

Sounds weird to me, your PC is obviously not detecting something. Ive got Telewest Broadband and i only have to click on "Internet Explorer" then im on straight away.

Check that you've got an adsl microfilter where every phone in your house connects to the telephone line. Every phone apart from the ADSL modem should be on a filtered line.
If you have a dial-up modem as well it needs to be on a filtered line. |

hi
thanks for the help ive been using a 15 metre extension for some months now without a fault. iv completely reinstalled everything, and ive no software that impedes with connectivity. it seems im not the only one who comnplains from looking at wanadoos forum: (See http://forums.wanadoo.co.uk/fs_internet ) i have the usb 330 speedtouch thomson modem i also have 2 solid green lights on the modem im gonna change service and go to tesco broadband. |
