Default Coolio and Tommy talk about Hip-Hop

Tommy has been talking to Coolio about famous hip-hop stars and Coolio's own time in the industry.

"Is Ice Cube different from Ice-T?" Tommy enquired. Coolio told him that they are different people, with Ice-T being most famous for his 'Cop Killer' single.

He went on to tell Tommy that he and Ice-T are friends, with Coolio learning "the business" from the older rapper.

Coolio said: "I listened to every last thing in interviews and I would be in the corner trying to look small. I was this close to pulling out a pad and taking notes."

He added that he used to "hate" NWA - whom he diplomatically called "N-words With Attitude" - for their influence on young people.

"It was shock. Shock rap. I saw how everyone wanted to be like them."

Ice Cube was a founder member of NWA, while Ice-T released 'Cop Killer' with his rock group Body Count in 1992.
