Default Would a vote to save literally save Big Brother?

Okay, lets admit it, some of the more entertaining housemates go sooner than they should, so thinking about it, a vote to save could potentially keep them in. Due to them being more entertaining, more people would want to keep them in and it'd kick out any boring housemates.

What're your thoughts on a vote to save for BB10?

Well, the positive voting certainly worked last night

I've suggested in the past that a vote to save may be better, but I'm not so sure now - it wouldn't work in two way eviction votes, because users could just evict one person by voting to save the other.

A vote to save would make it worse.

Well, for a start, it would keep horrible people (e.g. Luke) in and people who are hogging all the attention (e.g. Charley). Also, votes to evict let more people come out of their shell once the louder people are out (e.g. Ben in the last few days) and that will never happen with a vote to save.

I am undecided on this one, but i think that a vote to save would keep in a lot of the entertaining ones

It would ensure entertaining characters last much longer if the 3 or more hms with the most noms were up against each other. It stops one group of hms eg the god awful BBlock having all the power in the later nomination rounds and putting 2 popular hms up against each other as what happened to Lisa and Sara while pointless, terrible hms like Mohamed reached the final week just because they are members of a powerful group.

A vote to save could have stopped BB8 being a snooze fest in the later weeks and give us more unpredictable evictions.

Im not sure on one hand it would

but if say someone like coolio who was very entertaining but very annoying, people could just switch off because they cant stand him.

Nothing would save Big brother.

but a positive vote would help.

Its going to need a more than a vote to save to save BB
I think a new format which included vote to save could work well

It would help as we wouldnt have to put up with someone that almost everyone dislikes on the outside but likes on the inside as they could go week 1 instead of like week 9..

No, Big Brother is all about the evicting and should remain that way. Actually this series they got it spot on with the voting - I can't say there was any evictee I thought should have stayed until the end. They didn't get it so right in BB9 IMO, but that was the viewers fault for being idiots - not the formats, and I wouldn't switch to positive voting because of it.

The public like to kick people out, not keep people in. Plus it never really made a difference in CBB3.

I think a minimum of three should face eviction each week though
