ITV1 had an average share of 26.6% in primetime, level with last week, while BBC One averaged out to 21.9% for second place.

Channel 4 had a successful night thanks to its premiere of X-Men: The Last Stand, which picked up 2.43m (9.4%) between 8pm and 10pm. A further 419k (2.1%) watched on Channel 4+1.

New BBC Two series Explore, investigating local culture at tourist hotspots, interested 2.24m (8.8%) in the 9pm hour last night. It was preceded by The Best Of Top Gear, which had 1.99m (7.6%).
