Default We need Must See Fridays back again

I think that C4 should make more of an effort to ge better programmes on friday nights like they used to.
Something like this:

7pm-8pm- TGI Friday (New Series)
8pm-9pm- 90210 (First time on C4)
9pm-10:30pm- BB Eviction (All In One)
10:30pm-11:05pm- Triggy Happy TV *
11:05pm-12:05pm- Teachers

* Or Bo Selecter as it recieved high ratings back in the day.

Just looking back a few years ago, people stayed with C4 on Friday nights because its amazing lineup. That doesnt happen anymore.

Corrie moving to Friday hasn't helped at all, so what C4 shows before 9pm now doesn't matter too much. And if BB is all in one show (as it should be), it doesn't really affect the show too much, though as you say it's better it's part of a great line up rather than the only highlight on C4 on a Friday.

I'd move the Sunday Night Project back to Friday and air that at 10.30pm, then Transmission at 11.35pm before live streaming at 12.40am.

Eviction nights need moving, I think Sunday would be a good day. Traditionally the day with the highest 16-34's and the highest amount of viewers
Get rid of the outside crowd and eviction nights can be any night

My Sunday night schedule would go like this
7pm: BBLB
8pm: 2 new episodes of The Simpsons
9pm: Big Brother: Live Eviction and HOH competition
10.30pm: 8 out of 10 cats

i think that the evictions should be moved to a Sunday and should be earlier, as generaly, people do not go out on Sunday nights because of work and school. The line-up would be

5-6pm- Deal or no deal
6-6:30- Simpsons
6:30- 7pm- Takeshi's castle
7pm-8:30pm- Eviction show And interview
8:30 onwards- A Well known film

That would be an absolute disaster on any night. Firstly, it'd be up against the soaps. Secondly, it's pre-watershed, so there would be restrictions on the content they could show - there'd be no swearing at all, etc.

Big Brother doesn't need 90 minutes for an eviction it could work with 75 from 9pm-10.15pm.

9pm-9.46pm- Highlights
9.50pm (after ad break)- Davina speaks to house
9.52pm- Evictee leaves
9.58pm- (after ad break) Evictee speaks to Davina
10.10pm- Interview over, clue for the next week, live feed
10.12pm- Show over

I dont think an eviction will work in a pre-watershed slot. I mean, the HMs swear alot, so lotrs of things will be bleeped and what if they get naked the night before or somethinge lse happens, BB is supposed to be on at 9pm or over, or even drink alcohol, Ive heard that at that time, you cant show people drinking alcohol or something.... im not 100% sure though.

Ah, true. I keep forgetting that ITV changed their soap schedule.

Nevertheless, my second point stands.

Not that early, that would be horrible, and its before the watershed. I think if its better to move the eviction to Sundays then they need a live task on Friday like in BB5.

If evictions moved to Sunday they wouldn't be allowed to have a crowd

I don't want a crowd for evictions anymore they just ruin it and a lot of the people on here and DS do agree
So that would give the producers their perfect chance to change the eviction day and just have an indoor crowd

I think there should be a "must-see" show on before or after the eviction, I remember when Ugly Betty was shown, it was really hyped up and if I remember correctly it got a lot of viewers. Dirty Sexy Money was also hyped up, and was put in a good slot on Friday's before the eviction. They need a new american show to fill that gap, 90210 would be good.

I loved having Ugly Betty in between, Friday nights were always brilliant for tv.

Monday- Nominations
Tuesday-Wednesday- 2 day shopping Task
Friday or Saturday- Live Task (loved when they need them in BB3-BB5, obstcle courses, roundabouts, they were funny to watch)
Sunday- Eviction

I don't like the atmosphere the crowd create now, a small crowd inside to appreciate the evicted housemate would be good.

The show shouldn't be aimed at schoolies anyway, certainly not those that have to be in bed by 9 or 10pm.

It's a 16-34 show, and traditionally C4 would target that age group after 10pm, if not after 11pm, most nights.

O/T but C4's Friday nights look **** in the months ahead. The traditional flagship comedy slot of 9pm on Friday night is set to be occupied by Kitchen Nightmares USA for the next 13 weeks!

It's all about staging it right. If they ditch the crowd and just try and do evictions as they are now, but without the (outdoor) crowd, it won't work. However, if they revamp the whole show with that in mind, there's no reason why it can't work.

I think Davina basically needs to reintroduce viewers to the show again, so like back in BB1 it shouldn't be about a big crowd, but about getting behind the scenes and to the heart of the show, and then to the heart of the housemates by bringing back the friends and family into the studio.

Not for about a year now.

Also a lot of people are talking about 90210. I predict ratings will plummet for that as the series goes on. They'd be better off using something that has a solid fanbase eg Ugly Betty.
