The Perks of Being a Wallflower - 7/10. I liked the first half of it a lot more than the second half, still really good though. The main guy in it was a really good actor, you feel awkward just watching him for the first half hour or so when he is a really weird kid.
End of Watch - 8/10. This was really close to getting a 10/10, can't really say why it didn't because it would spoil the whole film but anyone that has seen it will know why.. It would have been a lot more powerful if things had happened the way they originally appeared to have. Michael Pena was really good in it, even better than Jake Gyllenhaal. |

The man with the iron fists - -4/10
starring russell crow & lucy lui. its a chinese martial arts fantasy movie, i couldn't make up my mind if its made to be intentionally bad or its just bad. or whether its meant to be a comedy of sorts. either way strange film. and weird to see a fat russell crow in it though he was very good and witty. whoever done the music thou should be shot. rap music in a chinese fight movie wtf.

The Kid - Seen it a few times, not bad for an afternoon light watch.
And I dunno who the English chick is in it but I think I'm in love

Pitch Perfect.
It was good for what it was - a predictable indie comedy - but I do wish comedies would stop making in-jokes about how movies are predictable as if some excuse to pursue the obvious story. Oh and I also wish that movies which look back to the 80s would look beyond The Breakfast Club, and in particular, the Simple Minds (Don't You Forget About Me) song... I do love them both, but Easy A's done it recently. I'd give it an 8/10 though, the music's enjoyable and the cast is great.

Friends With Benefits - 6.2/10 - A little bit better than No Strings Attached, although they are pretty much the exact same film don't see why they both needed to be made at exactly the same time. Always get them mixed up aswell.
Love and Other Drugs - 2/10 - Really boring, not funny, crap storyline.. Turned it off about half way through. It did have a good cast though. |

The New World - 8.5/10
The real story of Pocahontas. No silly singing trees or cartoon racoons. Have no idea why it is not a lot more popular it was really brilliant, one of the best films I've seen in a bit. Bit dodgy having a 14 year old play Pocahontas and having Christian Bale and Colin Farrell as her love interests but they managed to avoid anything too risky. |

Young Adult - 5.5/10 - Found it hard to keep interested in it for the most part, the story was basically some divorced woman ( Charlize Theron ) trying to get back with her Ex boyfriend from back in the day but he has a wife and a child now and then there is some fat guy in the story as well who randomly shows up from time to time throughout the movie and Charlize Theron seems to get drunk an annoying amount of times in the movie, i can't really think of anything good or funny that happened apart from the unrealistic scene where the fat guy pulls her towards the end, suppose it wasn't awful but it was just really wasn't that interesting at all

Remember Me - 7/10
Really did not see that ending coming.. Probably the most surprising ending from a film I've ever seen. Was completely out of nowhere but I guess that's what makes it fit so well to that event. Have always just ignored any Robert Pattinson films because he's the guy from Twilight so I just classed him as some useless actor that is just famous because all the young girls fancy him, but he was actually really good in this, and Emilie De Ravin was great as always. |

The Spy Who Loved Me - 8.2/10 - think this was the first Bond film i ever watched but couldn't remember much about it other then Jaws, The Ending was pretty terrible but the first hour and a half was Amazing and The Skiing Scene is the one of the greatest things ever

Not watched it yet but I bought The Princess Bride on Blu-Ray today (and 50/50 and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo too but I've seen them), but it's been wrapped for Christmas... Apparently it's very good, but I can't think of any members on here who'd care about it
-also FINALLY bought Labyrinth-

Green Hornet - 5/10. Pretty funny and had a decent storyline. Good to see Cutty from The Wire in another film aswell, he's doing alright for himself.
Young Adult - 6/10. Not all that much really happens but Charlize Theron's character keeps you interested and she was really good in the role, the fat guy was pretty good aswell. Project X - 4/10. The three main characters were really unlikable and I think that ruined it a bit because the party scenes could have been really great.. Just replace them Jim, Stifler and Finch from the first American Pie film and you have yourself a great film. The supporting characters like the two security guards and the crazy neighbour made it worth sticking with though. Liberal Arts - 6.5/10. Liked this a lot the storyline was pretty interesting and the situation played out quite realistically aswell. Elizabeth Olsen is a really good actress surprisingly I'm looking forward to watching her other film Martha Marcy May Marlene. Quite weird how Zac Efron is by far the most famous person in the film and had a really small role though. |
