Basically, you post short updates (140 letters long) of what you're doing at that present moment in time. Friends can follow your updates, and you can follow them. There's not much more to it really

I feel such a stalker, as I strangley like to know what other celebs are doing.
Alan Carrs one is the funniest, and Jonathan Ross seems to update his every 2 or so hours.
