1999 was defo the best year for music. So many big names started out (Britney, Christina, Eminem) and some classic tunes. And I remember 1999 being so hot, and such a party year because of millenium and most people were all happy for most of the year. Bring back the fun year!!!

I loved the 1990's music and considering I was born missing four years of them its quite wierd. Things like Show Me Love, U Sure Do, Let Me Be Your Fanatsy, Horny, Two Can Play That Game, I Luv U Baby were also some big songs of the decade. I love it!

I still listen to songs from the 90's more often than songs from this decade!
I dont know why, the music just seems pure then and less computerized. People actually sang without studio effects.

For me its especially Hip Hop! I cant stand most of the ones these days. But I loved the era or Biggie, Tupac, Even Eminem, Snoop dog, and the R&B was much better as well. Boys 2 men, TLC, Jodeci etc....

My fave of that year was Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee). Remember most of the songs posted as well - some of them I used to play a lot and I've liked Britney from Day 1. Will try and find some from that year that haven't been posted.

Hardly any of those in the first post were big in America. I remember nobody here ever heard of Geri after her split with the Spice Girls.

Actually, I don't think anyone here knows any other Spice Girls songs other than "Wannabe", "Say You'll Be There", and "2 Become 1".

Here in the US are ones from 99 that I particularly remember being BIG...

Were any of these popular in the UK?

Every Morning wasn't big in the UK?

Sugar Ray's songs all sounded the same:

(disregard the random Aniston pictures)

The lead singer of Sugar Ray now presents Extra, I believe.

Nah, mid 80s to early 90s much better.. Plus plenty of underground sounds breaking through into the charts during that time... Its rare i listen to the charts these days, no need to.
