Terminally ill Jade leaves hospital to shop for a wedding dress with Jack

Comments (0) Add to My Stories It should be one of the happiest days of her life, but Jade Goody's experience shopping for a wedding dress is heavy with sadness.
The 27-year-old, who was told her cancer was terminal just two days ago, was collected from The Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea by fiancé Jack Tweed.
The couple were on their way to the Armani store in Knightsbridge to look for a gown

The reality television star, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer five months ago, was pale and visibly weak as she clutched an energy drink.

Warmly wrapped up against the cold, she was too ill to walk, instead pushed in a wheelchair by her boyfriend and his mother who accompanied them on the trip.

The couple are said to be planning a £1million wedding ceremony after Tweed proposed at her bedside on learning the news.

She said: 'As soon as he found out I was going to die he just said, "Right then we’re getting married. You’re a special woman, I love you and I would be honoured to call you my wife. And I don’t care if it’s just for a few weeks".'
'I love Jack with all my heart,' she told The News Of The World. 'I want to be his wife more than anything in the world. And I will be.'

It is understood that her two sons, Bobby Jack, five, and Freddie, four, are to be pageboys.
Spokesman and close friend Max Clifford revealed that Goody is keen to earn as much money as possible in her remaining weeks, in order to secure a nest egg for her children.
‘It is fair to say that selling the rights to her wedding would be a surefire way of earning a big amount of money.’
Jade today expressed her terror at going home to die. She spoke of her fear that her sons would forget her, and told how she was creating a memory box for them.
'I want to ask God why he couldn’t have given me more time with my boys.
'Just a bit - just enough to hear them laugh a few more times, to see that they’re happy, to write them long letters so I can tell them who I was and how much I loved them and remind them about all the things we did together.
'Because they might forget me. And I can’t bear the thought of that.'
