I can;t wait for the soundtrack lol. There have been so many great artists rumoured, Madonna, My Chemical Romance, Jonas Brothers and personally I hope Paramore contribute again.

In terms of the movie I'm a bit meh towards it as New Moon is my least favourite of all the books.

Okay but she doesn't fit as an artist, she's not relevant to a young audience anymore. It'd be like Bob Geldof soundtracking the next Disney film or something.

You are not an audience though. You alone would not generate the profits that the Twilight album made. Soundtracking a film is serious as music can serve to create the mood and emotion in a film, the music is also picked and created carefully so that the Soundtrack album will be liked by a film's target audience so they'll buy it. Putting Madonna on would not appeal to a young audience as she doesn't suit the tone of the film at all. I know a fair bit about marketing and media Harry.
