Default Giving Blood

I am very glad I did it but it went badly :P
after i had given blood i had to put pressure on my arm, and then i felt sick and then everyhting went hazy. half an hour of lying down, i got up, then had some orange juice and then there was a "CODE BLUE!" situation, and I was on ANOTHER stretcher for a aggggggges... But, I got:
Crisps
a Kitkat

and when I got home my mum and dad were being nice and i had:
chicken baguette
crisps
4 muffins
6 biscuits

and now i feel quite good! well.. a bit sick :P and i'm writing this one handed.

Is this normal for a first timer?

Apparently my pupils went dilated and my skin went really white and stuff both times... but i only felt a bit weak :S

On injection day I sat next to someone who had a reaction to his jab. He literally had a spasm on me. <_<

Yeah, he just slid to the side at first and then he started having a fit. It was really scary, I was like one of the only students in the room as well.

LOL at least its for a good cause.

Yeh anyway, I cant give blood. I had to give blood for a diabetes test and I fainted and woke up in the bed in the doctors. No chance I am doing it on my own accord.

well done sia
when i gave first time it was almost done the room spun for me i felt hot i couldnt speak and everything went blurry luckily this was just before the nurse was coming to remove the needle i had to lay with my feet up and drink ice cold water for 20 minutes then i had 2 nurses escort me to the recover area for orange juice and biscuits and wouldnt let me leave for agood half hour til i felt normal
my arm hurt a load more the next morning seriously felt like i had bit hit by a bus i also still felt weak next morning
did you eat before hand? also apparently it is common in first timers not just cos the physical side of giving blood but the emotional side that hits cos the realisation apparently first timers can get about what a amazing thing you have done
