Alexandra Burke glitters in gold but runners up JLS prove they still have the X Factor Alexandra Burke may have been crowned reigning queen of The X Factor.
But runners up JLS threatened to steal her thunder as hordes of screaming fans turned out to cheer them on during their first show at Wembley Arena last night.
The X Factor Live tour rolled into London last night to play to a full house.
But although winner and chart-topper Alexandra was the big draw, she was definitely given a run for her money by the very popular boy band.
Opening the show with Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel, JLS - Aston Merrygold, 20, Marvin Humes, 23, Jonathan (JB) Gill, 22, Oritse Williams, 22 - showed off their winning harmonies, and slick moves as they effortlessly worked the stage.
And as per the TV show, 20-year-old Aston was the main recipient of the ear-shattering screams, warming up the audience for Alex who made her appearance in the show much later.
Fans were treated to a slick live production of the popular television show featuring most of those that made it to the final twelve, including Daniel Evans, Laura White, Ruth Lorenzo, Rachel Hylton and Daniel Evans.
Fans were treated to a slick live production of the popular television show featuring all the contestants and presented by Jeff Brazier - Jade Goody's ex-boyfriend.
And there didn't appear to be a bum note between them.
Diana Vickers performed Blondie's Call Me on a big round pink bed and later an awkward duet with friend Eoghan Quigg - who also drew roars of approval from the arena's audience, which mainly consisted of teenage girls and their long-suffering parents.
And Rachel Hylton drew warm applause from the audience - which incuded Jad Goody's sons Freddie, 4, and Bobby, 6, and Big Brother contestant Ben Adams - for her stunning rendition of Nina Simone's 'Feeling Good'.
There had been rumours that JLS were upset at winner Alex's preferential treatment on the talent show tour.
But a source said: 'This is just the way it works, it is in no way her being a diva or anything like that.
'If JLS have a problem with it, or want their own dressing room, then they should speak to their record label about it.'
Alex is only set to put even more space between herself and the X Factor finalist after signing a record deal in the United States worth a reputed £3million.
And she showed why on stage last night.
After JLS's second performance of the night, she performed a stunning version of Britney's Toxic in high-heeled black suede boots and minidress without missing a beat.
The arena was quiet when she sung Hallejujah, and she performed a heart-wrenching version of Beyonce's Listen for which on this occasion she managed to stay dry-eyed.
JLS gave her a run for her money, but in the end, Alex showed why she is the reigning X Factor queen.
The tour started this last month in Aberdeen and ends at Wembley Arena on 25 March.
