Default Black Music

in no way am i racist at all But something that really gets me is how on the radio, they can have "Blac Music" shows and charts. If A Radio station was to make a "White Music" Chart, Imagine the hell up there would be! I am glad that racism has been nearly wiped out and that it is seen as Horrible to be Racist, but i think that It is kind of contradicting itself by advertising Black Music. What do you think?

I think you're kidding yourself if you think racism has been nearly wiped out but that's another argument.

I've long said this myself. things like the MOBOs were created to empower black people and celebrate black culture but at this stage it only segregates them further.

Well, I meant it in the context that it is a lot better than it used to be, But i agree with your second statement

Racism is still rampant and will never be wiped out, remember we only see what it's like here, if you were in some parts of the US you would see it from a completely different perspective!

Black music is merely 'music of black origin'. It is in no way racist or segregational.

Soul music originates from the days when black people were slaves to the white man, puts a different slant on things, or are you missin the point!?

White people win stuff at the MOBO's

The only "real" white music is country, so what a crap industry we'd have without black people

I've hardly ever saw a posting with deep-rooted racism, but this is it. "Black music". Yeah, I'm sure I saw that chart somewhere. NOT! Are you talking about Hip-Hop? R&B? What's white music?

You were just asking for trouble posting this. I love when someone starts out, "I'm not a racist, but..." You can always tell that they're one.

That's not even the point. White people do Hip-Hop and R&B all the time. Look at Lilly Allen, Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse, and so on. That would all be classified to the same genre that is dominated by black musicians. What about Latin music? What the hell is White music? You do understand that the term white has to be broken down, right? Look at Italian opera. Get over yourself, and your blatant racism, OP.

Yes good point...neglected to think about the term "white music"...and yes white people are doin "black music". my point was the use of the term "black music" or music of black origin cant be considered racist when it has no roots in prejudice/racism

That wasn't the point. The point was, it was totally stupid. The rest of what they said was rooted in deep seeded racism.
