I emailed Channel 4 (first quote) and i got this response (second quote).

Hi, I was just wondering, when will news about the forthcoming series of Big Brother (BB10) be released?

Such things as the launch date and the eye?

Usually around this time, this information is already common knowledge, however this year there has been nothing so far?

Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding the release of the BIG BROTHER eye.
The new series of BIG BROTHER will begin this summer, the
eye should be released just before that. We would advise you to keep an eye

C4 staff are really a bunch of losers!!! I understand where theyre coinng from though, they want to keep the info to themselves at the moment.
But yeah, the eye will be revealed very soon.... i can just feel it.

Maybe they want to keep al the info closer to launch so thr is a huge hyp instead dragin it on for weeks

They need decent advertising this year, I would prefer it to all happen with a big bang rather than bits dribble out bit by bit like in the past.

BB only has to advertise about 14 days before it starts, if nothing comes out until then, and it all comes with a big catch... it will catch attention.

if i rember correctly we had nothing no news for bb7 then out the blue the bb web site changed with the kit kat advert on

I say start the advertising 3 weeks before the show starts... but it shouldn't be slow info.

Sort of

3 weeks to go: Holding page, release small press pack, Release 2 eye flashes/adverts ... but try to cover the eye so they can still release it the week after. Ariel pictures of the house.

2 Weeks to go: Release the eye, update the holding page so it is in BB colors, start the Eye Flashes and countdown adverts. Construction photos of the house?

7 days: Show the BB Big Quiz on C4 about 9pm, Release 2 photos showing the staircase and diary entrance

6 days: Show BB the love stories on E4 Release more construction shots, Start showing the BB E4 spin off adverts.

5 days: Show BB Around the World on E4, release a few house pics of the bathroom and kitchen (Make the photos blurry and really bad)

4 days: Show BB around the world on C4 Release bulk press pack (WITHOUT HOUSE PICS)

3 days: Repeat BBBQ on E4, Show the BB Anniversary story on E4 Release ALL House pics

2 days: Behind the scenes show about making BB (Part 1) on C4, leak several FALSE information to the press

1 days: Release mini clues about housemates, put online the full tour around the house, panoramic pictures of the rooms, the making of the house (Time lapse) and air Behind the Scene show about BB (Part 2) on C4

Sounds good apart from releasing the house pics i think that's something they should'nt show until launch night.

I want all of them to be a surprise. CBB6 opening night was so dull as we knew all the names.

The Daily Star stories about alleged lookalikes and WAGS sound awful. Want none of them.
