Big Brother is returning for a fifth series in its homeland - Holland.
The Netherlands was the first country to air the format in 1999, where it went on to enjoy four successful series. Former Endemol head and BB creator John de Mol has now poached the Dutch rights for the show as the centrepiece of his upcoming reality channel Talpa TV. The fifth series will air over 100 days, beginning shortly after Talpa's launch in August. Original producer Paul Romer is also back on board for the new outing. "Big Brother is the show that changed the face of television," he told C21. "We are delighted to be bringing it back to the Netherlands and working again with the man who first created it."
